Get ready for the green

“Get Ready for Green” Under the auspices of the Union of Arab Women Leaders and in cooperation with (COPPEM), the Creators Union of Arab , the Cosultative Status of the United Nations Economic and Social Council and the Hadidi Foundation for Development and Care

Within the framework of the presidential initiative (Prepare for the green) launched under the auspices of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the announcement of hosting the United Nations Climate Change Conference COP27 (Sharm El-Sheikh, November 2022).

The “Get ready for the green” conference was launched yesterday to be the first of several events organized by a group of joint Arab action organizations and international organizations in line with this national and global initiative.

It is known that research, exploration and technical jobs in specific sectors such as petroleum, natural gas and power stations are among the most important drivers in this regard, which must be fully employed to achieve the desired goal, as several distinguished working papers and pioneering solutions regarding green hydrogen and water recycling were presented.

The presentation was made by the strategic expert in energy / Mohamed El-Sawy, Dr. Hala Al-Manakhly, professor of occupational safety and environment on the importance of treating industrial petroleum wastewater by physical methods and reusing it to irrigate non-fruitful trees, and engineer Hossam Muharram, former advisor to the Minister of Environment, talking about waste recycling .

The conference was attended by Ms. Mona Al Shabrawi, the Head of the Central Department for Family and Child Affairs, Dr. Rania Al Nazer, Executive Director of the Red Crescent Society, and Counselor Omar Hamza, the Advisor to the Minister of Solidarity on behalf of the Ministry of Social Solidarity.

His Excellency Counselor Adly Hussein, President of COPPEM, also attended and spoke about the role of COPPEM in raising awareness about climate change and the usage of green energy in the Euro-Mediterranean countries.

The Creators Union of Arab , a member of the United Nations, was represented by Dr. Hala Adly, Secretary General of Women’s Affairs in the Creators Union of Arab and Secretary-General of the Union of Arab Women Leaders, member of the Executive Office of the Forum of Specialized Arab Unions in the League of Arab States. Events that will be held to raise awareness of the global issue of climate change.
